American Kickboxing
Punching and kicks above the waist are the only techniques allowed in American Kickboxing. Sweeps, takedowns, and leg kicks are left to "international" styles of kickboxing, and are considered illegal techniques in American Kickboxing.
International Kickboxing
This style is similar to American Kickboxing with the additional of leg kicks.
Sanshou (Chinese Kickboxing)
The base of the striking program at Ephrata Martial Arts is Sanshou. Sanshou adds the combat-oriented aspects of Chinese martial arts, including leg kicks, knee strikes, throws, takedowns, and limited groundwork to Ephrata Martial Arts' stirking curriculum. While some Sanshou techniques such as knee strikes and throws are not allowed in American Kickboxing matches, they're still an integral part of the cross-training between Kickboxing and MMA offered by Ephrata Martial Arts.
